1.  Osmania University first to teach in blend of Urdu & English :  Osmania University, which will celebrate its centenary on April 26 this year, was originally known as Osmania University of Hyderabad. Over the years Hyderabad was dropped from its nomenclature and the university came to be known simply as Osmania University.
2.  Hyderabad techie's killer was an alcoholic, says kin :  The family of Adam Purinton, the alleged killer of Srinivas Kuchibhotla in Kansas, apologised to the bereaved family while saying they never thought Purinton was a 'racist man'.
3.  MCI blocks Nims bid to start 2 PG courses :  Infrastructure and manpower woes seem to haunt the state-run Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) in the city, with the Medical Council of India (MCI) denying it permission to start two new postgraduate medical courses citing lack of adequate facilities and trained faculty.
4.  Crocodile in Hyderabad: Ripples after baby reptile swims ashore :  A baby crocodile surfaced in a drain near the Katamaisamma temple at Azampura near Chaderghat on Sunday afternoon. After a two-hour struggle, locals caught the reptile and handed it over to police, who in turn sent it to the nearby Nehru Zoological Park.
5.  All city slum dwellers not below poverty line: Lancet :  A recent study published in the science journal, Lancet, made an important observation that not all people residing in slums live in poverty. 
6.  Doctors & hospitals of Telugu states honoured :  The first edition of the Times HealthcareAchievers Telugu States 2017 Awards on Sunday honoured stalwarts in healthcare sector, including institutions, hospitals, physicians and specialties.
7.  Fury at job fair, aspirants say conned by organisers :  Candidates attending a job mela at Little Flower Junior College (LFJC) near Uppal Crossroad staged a rasta roko on Sunday as they were not happy about the jobs on offer.
8. 'KCR govt cheated unemployed youth' :  Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has accused chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of cheating unemployed youth in the state. After 33 months in power, KCR ran out of excuses for not fulfilling his election promise to provide lakhs of government jobs to unemployed youth, he said.
9.  Stuck in litigation, govt has no land to shift rally ground :  With major chunks of government land in the city either auctioned or stuck in litigation, the state government is repeatedly hitting a wall in its efforts to find land for its need. 
10.  Few water lines billed, board to launch survey :  In order to find the exact number of commercial properties which have domestic water connections in its jurisdiction, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has decided to commission a survey by state-owned consultancy Telangana State Technology Services(TSTS). Reason: Of 9.65 lakh water connections, about 30,000 are being billed as per commercial tariff according to its own records.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Health spend by Andhra & Telangana: It’s paltry Rs 731/capita :  The parliamentary standing committee report on health and family welfare for 2015-16 has revealed that the per capita expenditure on health in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together stood at a low Rs 731.  
2.  Utilise AEO scheme, Customs Commissioner tells traders :  Customs Commissioner S.K. Rahman suggested to traders to utilise the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) scheme, which offers various benefits.
3.  TDP Polit Bureau pitches Lokesh for Council election :  Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders have set the tone for the induction of TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s son, Nara Lokesh, into the Cabinet. 
4.  Roja seeks CBI probe into land pooling cases in Vizag :  The State government should immediately ask the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to initiate an inquiry into the land pooling cases in Visakhapatnam if it wants to come clean on the issue, YSR Congress legislator R.K. Roja has said.
5.  T.N. volunteers prove charity is not one-time activity :  Philanthropy is not a one-time activity. Around 500 volunteers have proved that charitable service is a way of life.
6.   Congress leaders flay BJP, TDP over special status :  The Congress leaders came down heavily on the BJP-TDP alliance at the party’s ‘Praja Avedana’ (people’s anguish) meeting held at Indira Bhavan here on Sunday.
7.  GST augurs well for the economy, says Central Excise official :  Assistant Commissioner of Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax (Kadapa Division) Varun Koundinya has said that Goods and Services Tax (GST) is India’s most significant tax reform that would drastically reduce the burden imposed by a plethora of Central and State taxes on businesses, thereby contributing immensely to the economic growth.
8.  Towards making Vizag a logistics hub :  The launching of commercial operations by the Container Corporation of India (Concor) from the Multi Modal Logistics Park developed near the Visakhapatnam International Airport is the first major step post-bifurcation to promote the city into a major logistics hub.
9.  Pay Rs. 1,000 and get UGD connection: Civic chief :  Municipal Commissioner G. Veerapandian on Saturday called on the property owners in the city to immediately get underground drainage (UGD) connections wherever the UGD line is available.
10.  CME meet :  Vijayawada Obstetric and Gynaecological Society (VOGS) and All India Coordinating Committee for Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (AICC-RCOG) organised a Continuing Medical Education Programme on ‘Making pregnancy safer’ on the hospital premises on Sunday.
