1.  Telangana govt diverting Centre's input subsidy funds for farmers, says Digvijaya Singh :  Senior Congress party leader Digvijaya Singh on Friday accused the state government of diverting Central funds meant for 'input subsidy' for farmers.
2.  Ramannakunta to get back lost glory, Army allows restoration :  The Ramannakunta lakewill soon be restored to its original glory, as the Army has agreed to grant permission for work on the lake restoration. Responding to a report in these columns, Brig A S Negi, president of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB), said he will allow the work to begin.
3.  Telangana to bail out discoms of Rs 8,000 crore debt :  To bail out debtridden power discoms, the Telangana government on Friday proposed to issue special securities worth Rs 8,922.93 crore, under the Ujjwal Discom Assurance Yojna Scheme(UDAY). 
4.  Telangana logs in Google to reboot digital plan :   In a major boost to Telangana's digitisation efforts, the state on Friday inked an MoU with Google Indiaafter a meeting between IT minister KT Rama Raoand company representatives.
5.  Deadly canines held fort at red-light den in Hyderabad :  When the Crime Investigation Team(CID) sleuths raided the prostitution den at night, they were taken aback at the sight of a snarling pack of dobermen, labradors and German shephards to keep people at bay. The dogs were trained to provide round-the-clock security at all the dens and raise an alarm.
6.  Government lauds Lalji Singh's efforts :  Scientist Lalji Singhhas been selected for "SERB distinguished fellow" by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), a statutory body of the government of India. Singh served as director of the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) and vice-chancellor of Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
7.  Flesh trade bust: 30 girls rescued in Medak raid :  In a massive raid, the Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) rescued 30 women, including 10 minor girls, who were forced into prostitution at Sarojini Nagar area of Medak district.
8.  Suicide pact? JNTU girl dead, techie critical :  A student from JNTU died and her friend, who suffered severe burns, is battling for life after locals found them in flames in a room in Musheerabad on Friday evening. The room was locked from inside and there was no suicide note. Both hail from Narsapur in Medak.
9.  University unrest: National security at risk, says minister Venkaiah Naidu :  The recent events at Delhi Universityand the debate revolving around them have the potential to threaten national security, Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu has said.
10.  Constable & aide held for misbehaving with techie :  A Special Operations Team (SOT) on Friday arrested a newly-recruited constable and his associate for misbehaving with a 26-yearold software engineer in a moving car on the Outer Ring Road.

2.  Ashok Babu team meets Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi :  A team of APNGOs’ Association led by P. Ashok Babu met Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi on Friday and conveyed the apprehensions among employees on the Contributory Pension Scheme. Mr. Ashok Babu sought establishment of advanced ITI in A.P.
3.  Doctor freed by IS needs to undergo two surgeries :  Specialist doctors who examined physician Kosanam Ramamuthy, freed recently by the IS, have asked him to undergo two surgeries to remove the bullet lodged in his wrist and to set right the fractured bone in his left shoulder.
4.  Campaign intensified for BJP-TDP nominee :  Ministers Kamineni Srinivas, P. Manikyala Rao, and K. Atchannaidu on Friday said that North Andhra would witness rapid progress as the Chandrababu Naidu Government was taking a series of steps for the development of the region.
