World Bank CEO Kristalina Georgia had admired the Demonetization decision of Narendra Modi. She went on to say that Demonetization is having a positive impact on the Indian Economy. Interestingly, Demonetization is never a favorite of the economists and now had got the accolades of an International Major.
"Demonetization disrupted the Businesses for a short duration but then it will have a positive impact in the long term. This is one of the most radical decisions ever in the recent times. Demonetization will lead to white money and a cashless society. Every Country should examine India's Demonetization," the CEO said.
She also added that India is the torchbearer in the economies of the World when media asked. On the other side, Modi government is yet to reveal the actual figures of gains due to Demonetization. Many say RBI is intentionally hiding the figures about the cash that did not return to the banks which will give an idea about the Demonetization success.
