Sources from Karnataka have stated that the Karnataka BJP has officially invited former Congress strongman, S M Krishna to join the BJP. During a meeting between B S Yeddyurappa and Krishna the latter was invited to be part of the BJP.
Meanwhile Krishna however has not given any commitment, although sources say that he may join the party soon. Krishna had quit the Congress in January 2017. He had said that he was retiring from active politics and had said that he was not renewing his AICC membership.
Earlier there was speculation in January itself that
Krishna may join the BJP. It was also said that he was likely to meet with
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February. Yeddyurappa has held several meetings
with Krishna since the latter quit the Congress.
