People who invested huge amounts in Agrigold suffered huge losses dueto the scam which ran into crores. Now many are wondering whetherAgrigold victims will get justice. Scores of depositors and agents from across the state joined the protests at Dharna Chowk near AlankarTheatre.
Intensifying the protests Muppalla Nageswar Rao, honorary president of The AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association said theinsensitive and apathy of the Government forced him to take this decision.
He said even after years passed by following the scaam, Government did not take steps to ensure the victims get justice. People who lostpatience with the government decided to sit on mass hunger strike at Vijayawada.
He asked the government speedup the auction process and help the families of the people who committed suicides.He accused thegovernment of shielding the fraudsters and pointed out that chairman Avva Venkat Rama Rao and his were not arrested and still steps are nottaken to bring them from Dubai.
