Telangana Congress for long has been trying its best to shake CM KCR and the ruling TRS party by highlighting the failures of the government. Till now they didnot find much success as KCR dealt them powerful blows politically and electorally. Now many are wondering whether Congress can shock KCR with Palamur-Rangareddy project.
Congress leader DK.Aruna making a power point presentation at a round table conference,alleged huge irregularities in the redesign of the project. This sparked accusations and counter accusations between Congress and TRS leaders.
Aruna speaking to scribes said , “Global tenders were not called for the construction of the project. The CM and TRS leaders decided on contractors by sitting at the CM's camp office by receiving huge kickbacks.”
TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy said “TRS leaders are looting public money in the name of irrigation projects. Anyone questioning this loot is being attacked by TRS leaders.” TRS leaders however rubbished all the allegations and accused opposition parties of ganging up against the development activites of the government.
