The shocking demolition of the controversial Babri Masjid structure at Ayodhya in 1992 left all stunned. For many decades various BJP,RSS,VHPleaders faced various charges of conspiracy and some time back whenthese conspiracy charges against senior BJP leaders Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharati were dropped on technicality, opposition parties cried foul.
Now Babri ghost came haunting BJP as a bench of Justices P C Ghoseand R F Nariman said the conspiracy charge was dropped merely on atechnical ground. The conspiracy charge was dropped by a Rae Barelitrial court.
Additional solicitor general Nee raj Kaul appearing for CBI stuck tothe stand taken during the tenure of the UPA government seekingrevival of conspiracy charges and said the agency was agreeable toclubbing both trial proceedings.
The bench posted the case for hearing on March 22nd. CBI filed achargesheet against Advani and 20 others under Section 153A (promoting enmity between classes), Section 153B (imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration) and Section 505 (false statements, rumors circulated with the intent to cause mutiny or disturb public peace).
