The Five States Elections are over and the future of the candidates is in the EVM’s. The results will be declared on 11th of March. But before that Exit polls are making their way well in advance deciding which party would form the government in the five states. The nation is also waiting for the reults. Lets see what the exit polls predict.

Uttar Pradesh

The Country’s largest state Uttar Pradesh  went for elections in 7 phases. Just before Elections war within the  the Yadav family, Akhilesh taking over as the Samajwadi party amid the ruckus congress and Samajwadi going hand in hand had created a confusion in the state voters. On the other hand BJP is facing the major election fight after the demonetization. So its hard to predict who will capture the throne. According to the exit polls, its BJPtakes the lead  in UP but will not reach the magic figure. This would be a major relief for Modi after the demonetization.

In Uttar Pradesh four out of six exit polls said the BJP will emerge as the largest party within striking distance of the halfway mark of 202 in the 403-member assembly.

BJP will bag 170-180 seats while the Samajwadi and Congress duo might get 100-110 seats. Mayawati’s BSP will have 90-100 seats in its kitty. RLD will have to be satisfied with 20-30 seats.

GOA

In Goa BJP will retain the power with a clear majority. The AAP, which ran a high-voltage campaign in its debut outing in the state, was seen as failing to have had an impact in the 40-member assembly. According to India today- My Axis BJP is likely to secure a 18-22 seats in in the 40 Goa assembly election.

Punjab

In Punjab, all exit polls were unanimous in predicting that the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP combine was facing a crushing defeat. But the polls were divided on whether the Congress or the Aam Aadmi Party, which is fighting its debut assembly election in the state, will form the next government. Two exit polls predicted a photofinish while two other were split between the Congress and the AAP in the 117-member assembly. The halfway mark is 59. Congress will earn 62-71 seats and AAP is predicted to win 42-51 seats.

Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand its BJP that hit the ground. Out of 70 seats exit polls predict that BJP will win 46-53 seats. Congress winning 12-21seats.

Manipur

Ibobi Singh and Irom Sharmila

 Okram Ibobi Singh, who has been the Chief Minister of Manipur since 2002, seems to have defeated the anti-incumbency for the fourth time in a row. The Congress is expected to get 30-36 seats in the 60-seat Manipur Assembly.  BJP has made its roads in the state.The BJP is likely to get 16-22 Assembly seats in Manipur. Iromi Sharmila party PRJA will win 3-6 seats predicted the exit polls.
