When Rahul Gandhi,Congress vice president responding to all exit poll predictions of BJP sweep in Uttar Pradesh remided them how exit polls went wrong in Bihar, many now started wondering why SP,BSP and Congress failed to enact a 'Bihar' in Uttar Pradesh.

Many analysts feel that it was later realisation on part of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav who spoke about having post poll alliance with BSP's Mayavathi to keep communal BJP out of power. He said all secular forces should unite in the effort to keep BJP out of power.

People can never forget how Bihar CM Nitish Kumar of JD (U) formed alliance with his bitter rival Laloo Prasad Yadav of RJD before elections. Analysts failed to take note of the changed dynamics with the alliance and predicted sweep to BJP. Even BJP which readied for celebrations got huge shock when the alliance swept to power.

But the same situation may not repeat in Uttar Pradesh. Many feel had Akhilesh Yadav not over estimated his strength along with the Congress and BSP's Mayawathi shed her ego, they wouldn't have been at the doors of virtual decimation.

RJD's Laloo Prasad Yadav tried his best to form Bihar type grand alliance in Uttar Prafesh but SP and BSP missed the golden opportunity. Nitish Kumar of JD(U) said grand alliance would have happened had SP and BJP entered into coalition like JD(U) and RJD.

Uttar Pradesh too has similar conditions like Bihar and had SP,BSP entered into coalition things would have been different. Anti incumbency of SP would have been nullified with BSP and mulilm votes wouldnot have got split.
