Turning exit polls true, Congress party drew consolation by blowing away Badals away in Punjab. In the process it crushed the high hopes of Kejriwal's AAP which dreamed of forming government in the state.
SAD-BJP combine didnot do as badly as exit polls predicted but Kejriwal's AAP didnot do as good as the exit polls predicted. Congress under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh blew away Badals and crushed Kejriwal. Celebrations started in Congress party with Amarinder Singh celebrating his 75th birthday.
Congress is now leading and winning in 74 out of 117 seats while AAP is coming a distant second with 25 seats. SAD-AAP combine is just ahead in 17 seats.
