BJP not lasting on the laurels of sweeping India's largest state Uttar Pradesh and its neighboring state Uttarakhand, the party gave a huge shock to the Congress which hoped to form governments in Goa and Manipur after emerging as the single largest party in both the states.

Congress hopes of drawing solace of forming governments in three states Punjab, Manipur and Goa fast evaporated as smaller parties after watching Modi tsunami drifted towards him in Goa and Manipur. BJP quickly got its moves right while Congress struggled to put its house in order due to infighting.
