Trump's order to block entry of people, including highly qualified professionals, from seven Muslim-majority nations made a big impact. Indian IT is in a keen watch for Trump’s directions on H1-B visa norms.A large chunk of Indian software engineers on site work in America are on H1B and L1 visas. 





“It is unclear at this point. However, if the proposals for changes in the H1-B visa norms gets into practice, the industry will surely have an impact,” said S Gopalakrishnan, a co-founder and former chairman of Infosys before this order was into practice. “So far, it appears Trump is following through on his poll promises. The IT industry is definitely a little bit less optimistic. Indian companies will have to hire more native US and it is definitely going to be difficult if it continues,” said Dinesh Goel of ISG, an IT research firm.

“The policies hint at the fact that there is no other way but more local hiring".He also mentioned that the Indian firms are targeted and they have to find new ways todo business with the US.The workers at the middle level around 35-40 years of age are the ones mainly targeted in Trump's game.Rigorous hiring and growth in new establishments also tend to push average employee age down adding to this visa problems.India’s software services sector is toiling with the consequences of new US President Donald Trump action against outsourcing of jobs.
