The union cabinet has sanctioned a huge financial assistance regarding Polavaram project in AP, the Telangana state legislative council on Wednesday held an interesting discussion between Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and  KCRChief Minister of Telangana. In the discussion, the Congress party member demanded the state government to take back the four submerged villages that were included in AP as in the ordinance. 'Since AP doesn't require those villages, let's work together to bring them under Telangana state,' said Mr. Reddy.

In reply to Sudhakar Reddy, CM of Telangana KCR said, 'after learning about the villages included in AP through ordinance bill will not get affected by Polavaram project, I have taken up the issue with Andhra Chief Minister and he too have responded quite positively.' KCR also added that he and Babu will take suggestions regarding the issue with centre and seek their guidance for quick resolution.

The  Parliament passed an ordinance bill on July 2014 to transfer around 205 villages spread across 7 mandals in Bhadracharam, Khammam to Andhra Pradesh as part of rehabilitation and resettlement program of Polavaram project.
