2.  Sushma hope for Hyderabad woman stuck in Pakistan :  After a father's desperate pleas for two months to the ministry of external affairs to save his daughter Mohammadia Begum, who has allegedly been harassed by her husband in Pakistan, foreign minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday responded and sought a report from Indian High Commission in Pakistan.
3.   Rs 44.48L demonetised cash seized :    Task Force sleuths arrested three persons at BK Guda, SR Nagar, on Wednesday night and seized Rs 44.48 lakh demonetised currency notes from their possession. 
4.  Kadapa man's SOS from Saudi hellhole :  Pushed, punched, kicked, slapped, abused and threatened by his kafil (employer) in Saudi Arabia, an Indian from Andhra Pradesh is screaming for help. Lavangiri Ansar Basha, 25, from Pulivendula in YSR Kadapa district has been working as a driver for a year at Madina and is desperate to return to India, unable to bear the trauma.
5.  Con king makes killing with US techie's card :  Cyber Crime police arrested a person for using a stolen international credit card belonging to a US-based techie, for buying goodies worth Rs 9.04 lakh.

7.  HCA suggest names of 3 retired judges as observers :  Amid conflicting contentions about the amendment of the by-laws to make the Hyderabad Cricket Association acceptable to the Lodha Committee, the Hyderabad High Court posted the PIL on HCA to Monday for further hearing. 
8.  Government wants heat shield blueprint to cut deaths :  With temperatures likely to hit 45 degrees Celsius to 47 degrees Celsius in Telangana from April to June this year, officials of various government departments have been instructed to get their acts together and prepare a heat wave action plan.
9.  Monster mom brands kid with steel spoon :  A woman rights activist branded her nine-year old son's private parts with a red-hot steel ladle for pestering her to return to his estranged father.

Andhra Pradesh
1.  Cricket betting: 1 held, Rs. 7.70 lakh seized :  Police arrested Shaik Asif Basha, 23, of Nakkash street in Kadapa town on Thursday for organising cricket betting and seized 7.70 lakh, a television and a mobile phone. Police seized Rs. 50,000 from Asif Basha and Rs. 7.20 lakh abandoned by some other accused who fled during the raid, Kadapa One Town circle inspector T.V. Satyanarayana said.
2.  Jagan has failed as opposition leader :  YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has failed in discharging his duties as a responsible Leader of the Opposition, TDP general secretary Varla Ramaiah has said. 
3.  Suggestions sought on title for TTD app :  The TTD on Thursday decided to invite suggestions from the public in coining a suitable title to its yet-to-be released user-friendly mobile app which it has developed to extending a speedy and transparent services for the pilgrims thronging the town for a darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
4.  Canadian firms keen on investing in A.P :  Jennifer Daubeny, Consul General of Canada in Bangalore, is upbeat about the investment opportunities and other avenues for bilateral engagement with the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP).
5.  SCR drive nets over Rs. 12 lakh :  The South Central Railway, in a release on Thursday, said that a fortnight-long special drive against unauthorised hawking, overcharging, and poor quality of food fetched Rs. 12,38,237 as penalty.

10.  Govt. introduces four Bills in Assembly :  The State government introduced four Bills in the Assembly on Thursday. The Bills are—The Andhra Pradesh Infrastructure Development Enabling (Amendment) Bill, 2017, The Andhra Pradesh Tourism, Culture and Heritage Board Bill, 2017, The Andhra Pradesh Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2017, and The Andhra Pradesh Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2017.
