Justice Khehar even offered to act as a mediator provided that he would not hear the matter on the judicial side and remarked "Any person of your choice. You want me to mediate (but) I will not hear (on judicial side). You want my brother (Judge). There are issues. You all sit together across the table and decide."

Supreme court asked Swamy to consult all parties and inform about the decision and posted the hearing to March 31. While the ruling BJP government welcomed the move and Subramanian Swamy said that Babri Masjid can be shifted near to Sarayu river,The Waqf Board's Zafaryab Jilani rejected the out of court settlement talk by the Supreme Court.
