1.  CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to be re-elected unopposed as prez at party plenary on April 21 :  Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to be re-elected as TRS party president for the ninth consecutive term at a plenary meeting to be held at Hyderabad on April 21. KCR, 64, founded the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in 2001 and held plenary meetings on eight occasions during the last 16 years.
2.  Six Telugu workers freed from Saudi :  Six of the 29 Telangana migrant workers who were held captive by their company at Al-Hassa in Saudi Arabia have returned home to India. Secretary, external affairs, Amar Sinha said Saudi authorities had intervened and sent the workers back.
3.  Corporation & SPV to smoothen roads :  Commuters using major arterial roads in Greater Hyderabad can expect better roads soon.

1.  Injured YSRC leader shifted to Hyderabad :  YSR Congress BC cell president Post Prasad, who was critically injured in an attack by Telugu Desam activists during the tender process at Dhone municipal office in Kurnool district on Friday, was rushed to Hyderabad for specialised treatment on Saturday.
2.  Chirala journalist held in SC/ST atrocity case :  freelance journalist Nagarjuna Reddy, who was thrashed by supporters of Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishnamohan last month, was arrested by the Prakasam police in connection with an SC/ST atrocity case filed by a supporter of the MLA.
3.  TTD staffer electrocuted :  TTD employee died allegedly of electrocution in the aftermath of a fire that broke out at a sub-station in the vicinity of the 'Silathoranam' here on Saturday.
4.  Deficit rainfall brought down area under rabi, says Minister :  Scanty rainfall has reduced the cultivable land during rabi. In rabi 2016-17, the total area brought under cultivation was 19.93 lakh hectares against the normal area of 24.63 lakh hectares, said Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao on Saturday.
5.  TDP, YSRCP trying to score brownie points :  AgriGold Customers’ and Agents’ Welfare Association president Muppalla Nageswara Rao on Saturday expressed anguish over the behaviour of both the ruling and the Opposition parties for aiming to score brownie points over the AgriGold issue on the floor of the Assembly.

8.  4 new flights to link city with Vizag, Tirupati :  Four more flight services are going to connect Vijayawada with Visakhapatnam and Tirupati from April 1.
9.  Cyber security research centre begins work :  Forty Two Labs, founded by a group of entrepreneurs from Israel and India with rich experience in the field of IT, has launched operations of the first-of-its-kind global cyber security research centre set up by it here.
10.  Form tribal advisory panel: MLA 
YSR Congress MLA Rajanna Dora (Salur) has urged the government to constitute a Tribal Advisory Council (TAC) immediately for effective monitoring and implementation of various tribal welfare schemes.
