Race for the President post is heating and numerous names are doing rounds with each passing day. BJP which was expected to face problems in getting its candidate elected for the top post before the Uttar Pradesh elections is now having the majority.
BJP can have its selected candidate get elected as President of India after the Current President Pranab Mukherjee's term gets completed in july. Names of Big B Amitabh Bachchan and others cameout and sometime back rumours spread that Amitabh Bachchan refused Balakrishna's film Rythu with Krishna Vamsi as he expected nomination for the top post and he didnot wish to do the same role in a film.
More recently reports came that PM Modi in a confidential meeting decided to honor senior BJP leader LK.Advani,his Guru with the top post. Now in the midst of all this, Shiv Sena, BJP ally which is known for its controversial statements came with a shocking selection.
Shivsena MP sanjay Raut speaking to scribes said his party supports RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for the president post. He said Bhagwat as a president will help India become Hindu Rashtra. Uddhav Thakeray's Shiv Sena always voted against BJP. It voted for Congress candidates Pratibha Patil and Pranab Mukherjee in 2007 and 2012 respectively.
