With the new MLC’s induced into the Telugu Desam Party , now AP Chief Minister Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu is all set to expand his cabinet . The date and time was also fixed by the TDP Chief. The cabinet expansion will take off in grand style on April 2nd at 9:25 am at Amaravati’s secretariat. For this works have also been assigned.
TDP National General secretary MLC Nara Lokesh who was sworn in on 30th of March is all set to take up the cabinet post. Partymen and cadre has been pressurizing Mr. Lokesh to take up the Minister post for quiet sometime. Accordingly Mr. Chandrababu has allocated the IT and Panchayath portfolios says reports. Interestingly the Telangana Chief Minister’s son Mr. KTR also holds the same portfolio. Actually the expansion was planned on the festival day of Ugadi, but due to few technical reasons this could not take place.
With the new law makers entering the cabinet, Five ministers who are already holding other portfolios will be saked says TDP sources. Currently Mr. Naidu’s cabinet consists of 20 Ministers. After the expansion the number would increase to 26 says reports. There might be a reshuffling of portfolios in the cabinet said a senior TDP leader.
Chief Minister has done his work on the reshuffling and allocating portfolios to the new lawmakers. Sources revealed that Mr. Naidu has taken into consideration and worked out on all equations. Couple of them to whom he cannot take into his cabinet were promised other nominated posts. He has promised the MLC’s to give the council Chairman and deputy Chairman posts. In this backdrop, Mr. Reddy Subramanyam has filed his nomination papers for deputy chair person.
