Both print media and electronic media cover Jagan Odarpu, Sharmila Padayatra and Vijayamma political tours that gave g reat publicity to YSRCP. Party’s mouthpiece has been facing various financial problems to run.
As per the former staff in Sakshi salaries have not been increased for the past four years. Management quoted the reason of CBI inquiry for not increasing the salaries. Attrition rate is also rising very high in Sakshi media every year. Hundreds of staff left out Sakshi and management hasn’t tried for their replacement. Former staff also alleges that some YSRCP workers also get payments through Sakshi. After freezing of it’s accounts court orders to spend all it’s financial transactions including day to day expenses and salaries to the staff through bank. Court strictly ordered not to transfer other investments for Sakshi. Reportedly, Sakshi discloses 4 to 5 crores loss every month. Sakshi generates the revenue by allowing printing of other English and Urdu newspapers like “Postnoon”, ”Mint”, ”Sahara”, ”Facetruth” and”GreatAndhra” at it’s premises. As per reliable sources changing of it’s editor from Diwakar Reddy to Murali is also the reasons for it’s financial crises. The news paper reduces the number of pages to meet it’s operational expenditure.
As per political buzz that Jagan will start looking of other alternates in any case his media stopped. So far, both Jagathi Publications and Indira Telivision protect Jagan and YSRCP and also counter to Congress and TDP. Jagathi and Indira are disclosed losses every year in their financial accounts since their inception.
