Speculation is increasing whether AP CM Chandra Babu can pass 'Ayesha' test. It is known that Vijayawada police got huge shock when Hyderabad High Court acquitted Satyam Babu, key accused in Ayesha's rape and murder case couple of days back after 8 years.

High Court rapped the police for their lethargy and also ordered AP governement to pay compensation to Satyam Babu. Now Vijayawada police are planning to challenge the High Court verdict in Supreme Court.

For them to do so, nod from CM Chandra babu and advocate general Dammalapati Srinivas is essential. Here is the litmus test for Chandra Babu. as a oppositon party leader in 2007, Chandra Babu said Satyam Babu is not accused and promised Ayesha's mother speedy justice.

Chandra Babu promised to fight against the then Congress governemnt in the state. He is now the CM of the state. A senior TDP leader says “The ball is in Naidu’s court. We have been telling that Satyam is not the accused and that the erstwhile Congress government had sabotaged the evidence and influenced police investigation,”

Police failed to provide proof in the court as to how he managed to scale the compound wall with a boulder and enter the first floor of the hostel building. Ayesha's murder says “Here is my straight question to the police. When the HC found that there is no proper evidence to prove that my daughter was raped twice, how can the sessions court claim that she was abused twice? Where is the DNA evidence? They were in a hurry to close the case by making an innocent youth the scapegoat,”

Ayesha's parents allege that Koneru Suresh, grand son of the then municipal administration minister,Deputy CM Koneru Rangarao for the murder of her daughter. Ayesha’s parents allege that former Congress Minister Koneru Ranga Rao's grandson, Koneru Satish, frequently visited the hostel along with other relatives including Koneru Suresh, Abburi Ganesh, Chinita Pawankumar and Rakesh. They also allege that the warden, Koneru Padma, allowed them to enter the girls' hostel as they were relatives.
