Of late Hyderabad is always in news as a terror hub whenever any bomb blasts happened across the country. However this time,it is a proud moment for all Hyderabadis as it is comingout that there is Hyderabad connection to India's surgical strikes on Pakistan last year.
It is known that Government of India honored all those soldiers who conducted the surgical strikes with Sena Medals at Rashtrapati Bhawan on March 20. There was one Hyderabad soldier too who did the Country proud by being part of the surigical strikes team.
But what comes as a surprise is not even the family members of Major Lakshmi Veera Naresh Olety were aware of his participation in the surgical strikes on terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
His uncle ASR Murthy shared “I got goosebumps when he told us,“. He added “When we asked him if was afraid, he said that all of us have fear, but it was his Army training that helped him overcome it. And when the country reposes confidence in you, fear take a back seat.“ His father Olety Veera Raghava Sharma encouraged Naresh to join NDA. Telangana CM KCR announced 30 lakhs for Sena Medal recipients while AP CM Chandra Babu announced 10 lakhs. His family members and relatives are over the moon with his achievement. When asked about his entry into films, Naresh avoids the answer with a smile.
