Shiv Sena which is known for its belligerent ways stunned all in Parliament. Shiv Sena came all guns blazing to support its goon MP Ravindra Gaikwad who sometime back attacked Air India staffer. Shiv Sena cleverly shifted the main topic as Ravindra Gaikwad attended the parliament for the first time after the shocking incident.
Right from the start Shiv Sena supported Ravindra Gaikwad who refused to apologise to the AI staffer. He said he is ready to apologise in the parliament and not to the Air India. Shiv Sena MPs shouted at the unresponsive Union Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju.
What shocked all is Union Minister, Shiv Sena MP Anant Geete shouted angrily at Raju along with other Shiv Sena MPs and even started hitting Raju's bench. It was left to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh who came to the rescue of Ashok Gajapati Raju.
Ashok Gajapati Raju replying to the entire incident said it was upto Gaikwad whether he will escalate or defuse the situation and made clear that there willnot be any preferential treatment and it is not the issue between AI and a MP but it is between the AI and a passenger.
He added "Aircraft is a machine where people fly. Safety is important. Safety cannot be compromised,". This turned Shiv Sena even more furious. Home Minister Rajnath Singh tried pacifying them saying the Government will look into the matter soon.
AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu's son Lokesh,strongly condemned Shiv Sena's attack on Ashok Gajapati Raju. He tweeted "Strongly condemn the unparliamentary behaviour of several MPs towards Union Civil Aviation Minister @Ashok_Gajapathi."
