Ravindranath Reddy, Ex-Mayor of Kadapa who is also known to the people as brother-in-law of late YSR has long time wish to become a MLA. Ravindra Reddy believes this is life time achievement. He tried to contest from Kadapa segment as Congress nominee in 2009 it’self with YSR blessings but high command turndown his hope. Keeping his aspiration in view, YS Jagan appointed him as Co-coordinator for Kamalapuram segment. Ex-mayor was arrested and released on bail on DAP scam.
Ravindranath Reddy accepts Jagan decision unwillingly. But he is more interested to contest from Kadapa Town instead of Kamalapuram. Kamalapuram is stronghold to both Congress and TDP parties. Veera Siva Reddy (Congress) and Putta Narasimha Reddy (TDP) have their own cadre in the segment. Ravandranath Reddy is not sure of his victory between them. So he again prefers to go Kadapa. Kadapa is stronghold for Muslim minority community. Both Congress and TDP select their nominees from Muslim Community for every election. Anzad Basha is decided by YSRCP as next nominee from Kadapa. Ravindranath Reddy told his sad story to his sister Vijayamma. He also suggested her to allocate Rayachoti segment to Muslim Community instead of Kadapa. As per his wish, Vijayamam asks seniors Mysoora and SV to convince Jagan on change of Ravindranath Reddy seat.
Srikanth Reddy is sitting MLA in Rayachoti have no good relations with Ravindranath Reddy. By raising replacement option Ravindranath Reddy hits one shot of two birds. As per the district sources Muslims are very enrage on these developments in Kadapa. They vowed to defeat Ravindranath if he contested from Kadapa. On the other hand leaders and cadre of YSRCP believes Ex-Mayor will become burdensome to the party.
