Telangana Energy Minister G.Jagadish Reddy met with an accident on National Highway 65 at Errasanigudem village of Kattangur mandal in the district on Sunday afternoon.
The accident happened when one of the vehicle in the convoy hit a car on the national highway. Minister escaped unhurt and there was no damage to the vehicle in which he was traveling.
However five people along with the Minister's gunman and the attender were injured in the accident. Driver of the vehicle in the convoy while trying to avoid collision with another innova which suddenly came on the national highway from Errasanigudem village, hit a Hyundai i-20, which was going towards Hyderabad from Suryapet.
All the five were rushed to Kamineni Hospital at Narketpally. Two injured were shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment as their condition was critical. Jagadish Reddy after the accident left for Suryapet and participated in the official programe. He later visited and consoled the injured at Kamineni Hospital in Narketpally.
