People are wondering whether US President Donald Trump is scared of PM Modi wipingout Pakistan. Seems so according to the reports coming from USA.
Brussels-based think-tank International Crisis Group in its findings while analysing the US policy against terrorism in South Asia came with the following findings.
It felt that US feels that another 26-11 attack on India by Pak terror groups will see furious reaction from India which will make US difficult to prevent.
The report referring to Pak terror groups Lashkar E Toiba and Jaish E Mohammad which pose threat to the US says “Though neither has formal links to al-Qaida, their fighters rub shoulders with other militants and global jihadis in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The gravest danger they pose for Pakistan and the US is another strike on India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's response to attacks last year on Indian forces in Kashmir suggests his reaction would be calibrated carefully , and public opinion would weigh only so far on that calculation. But it would be difficult to show restraint in the event of an attack like the one which killed large numbers of civilians in Mumbai in 2008,“
The report also suggests what US shoulc avoid while fighting ISIS and Al Qaeda and added that the main challenge for the US is to persuade Pakistan's military establishment to push the Taliban to ward talks and rein in antiIndia groups.
