It is being widely said that since UPA had already promised on December 9th regarding Telangana, Sona Gandhi is not willing to go back on this issue while at the same time she cannot go ahead to grant separate state directly.

 

It is now being said that Sonia Gandhi’s son and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is very keen to ensure that Andhra Pradesh doesn’t get bifurcated. The AICC top leadership is reported to be fully divided on this issue.  PM Manmohan Singh, Rahul, A.K. Anthony are in favor of united AP while Sonia, Chidambaram and Ahmed Patel favor Telangana.


 

So finally mom Sonia and son Rahul are planning to sit together and resolve this tangle and Telangana depends on this outcome. So, it is all about how the political equations work rather than what the actual people of Telangana want and how they will be benefited by these decisions.
