1.  Physiotherapist commits suicide in Hyderabad :  Anusha, working as a physiotherapist in Basava Tarakam Cancer Hospital in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, committed suicide on Thursday. She hanged herself to the ceiling fan in her hostel room.
2.  Cash curfew at ATMs: Hyderabad worst hit, headquarters chests dry too :  The availability of cash at ATMs has worsened in many parts of the country with Hyderabad facing the brunt of the crisis. 
3.  HC puts merger brakes on SBI, says finalise employee options :  Slamming brakes on State Bank of India(SBI)'s swift journey towards becoming one of the biggest banking players in the world through merger of five of its subsidiary banks and its 'hasty' efforts to assimilate officers through an options route, Hyderabad High Court on Thursday directed SBI not to finalise or act on the options given by officers of subsidiary banks.
4.  Associate banks' employees relieved, say clarity needed :  Employees of erstwhile State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) and other four associate banks merged with State Bank of India (SBI) on April 1, heaved a sigh of relief on Thursday, following the breather given to them by Hyderabad High Court till June 15.
5.  Discoms blink, tariff hike put off, bills to be same :  The Telangana Southern and Northern Power Distribution Companies have submitted their tariff proposals for the financial year 2017-18 proposing that no tariff hike be imposed for all categories of customers in the current financial year.
6.  Swine flu centre in Hyderabad soon, says government :  With an unusual rise in the number of swine flu cases even with the onset of summer, the Telangana government has decided to set up another diagnostic centre, exclusively to tackle such cases in the city. 
7.  British criminal wriggles out of loo shaft in Delhi railway station :  In a dramatic escape right out of a movie, a 41year-old British national from Hyderabad, wanted in a murder case in the United Kingdom, escaped from police custody at Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station on Wednesday night. 
8.  Veep at Manuu, tells citizens to continue Quli Qutb's tolerance :  Vice President Hamid Ansari on Thursday highlighted the tolerance under the reign of Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah and hoped the tradition would continue in Hyderabad in the 21st century.
9.  Steal, smash & sell lorry parts :  Eight people involved in stealing lorries, dismantling them and subsequently selling their spare parts were arrested by Shamshabadpolice on Thursday. Police also recovered over '1.5 crore worth stolen material from the group of eight.
10.  KCR's bonanza: Farmers to get 4,000 for fertilisers :  In a major bonanza for farmers in the state, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday announced a financial assistance of 4000 for each acre to buy fertilisers from the financial year 2018-19.


Andhra Pradesh
1. Jana Sena activists :  Protesting against the alleged failure of MPs from Andhra Pradesh in getting special category status (SCS), 100 Jana Sainiks will go on a fast at the GVMC statue on Friday, a statement issued by the Jana Sena said.
2.  Vijay Sai Reddy meets PM :  YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijay Sai Reddy called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday in New Delhi.
3.  YSRCP wins Mangalagiri civic bypoll :  The YSR Congress Party got a shot in the arm after the party candidate won the byelection in Mangalagiri municipality. In the voting held on April 9, party candidate Venkata Ramana alias Gym Ramana won by a majority of 182 votes against his nearest rival Murali Krishna. 
4.  DGP: Ayesha murder case will be reinvestigated :  The Ayesha Meera rape-cum-murder case will be reinvestigated by the police nearly 10 years after the crime was committed at a woman’s hostel located in Ibrahimpatnam near Vijayawada in 2007.
5.  Govt. owes an explanation on CM’s new house: Roja :  YSR Congress Party MLA RK Roja on Thursday lashed out at the the Telugu Desam Party government for failing to tackle pressing problems such as drinking water crisis. Talking to the media here, Ms. Roja questioned as to how Mr. Naidu, who could not get even a single house constructed for the poor since coming to power in 2014, manage to construct a palatial residence for himself in Hyderabad in a span of one year.
6.  PCC chief’s plea to Naidu :  APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy has written a letter to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu seeking implementation of the Supreme Court directions providing for equal pay for equal work for Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs) working under the A.P. Sarva Siksha Abhiyan.
7.  A.P., TS agree to share workers’ welfare funds :  Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments have agreed to share the funds of Andhra Pradesh Building and Other Workers Welfare Board on population basis. Subsequently, the funds will be shared in the 58:42 ratio.
