Scorching summer is forcing people to increase consumption of electricity across the country. Telangana too is witnessing increase in power consumption. But what is making people angry is un announced and untimely power cuts in the state.
On Sunday powercuts increased in Telangana and especially in Hyderabad making people drenched in sweat. People vented their anger on social media expressing their woes to Telangana CM KCR's son KTR.
This increase in sudden complaints surprised even KTR. When Vikram Singh complained Where is this happening? No scheduled outages in Telangana,“, KTR directed the Telangana State Southern Power Distri bution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) to look into the complaint.
KTR got flooded with complaints about power outages, unscheduled power cuts, regular power cuts and power cuts for long hours.KTR didnot respnd to a suggestion from a customer that a website be set up so that consumers can report power cuts to authorities.
People from Mayurinagar, Miyapur, Musheerabad, Banjara Hills, Borabanda, Panchavati Colony, Manikonda complained of powercuts.
