The Osmania University centenary celebration created a huge expectation because of the gathering of celebrities like KCR, Governor E S L Narasimhan, President Pranab Mukherjee.But the celebration ended with just 30 minutes with no speeches from KCR and others except , President Pranab Mukherjee.
President Pranab Mukherjee was the only person to give the inaugural speech at the grand and colourful function, other than that welcome address by Vice Chancellor Ramachandram and vote of thanks by registrar Gopal Reddy.
What truly disappointed the audience is that KCR left the hall without even uttering a word .He is an aluminus of Osmania University is to be mentioned here.Sources say this was done purposely to show his utter contempt against the students who burnt his effigy for with drawing from the fast in Nov2009.
The entire campus was blocked by police and barrigades everwhere made it look as if Osmania University was in Kashmir
