1.  K Chandrasekhar Rao hands over house site documents to shuttler PV Sindhu :  Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday handed over land documents pertaining to a 1,000 square yard housing site to Olympic badminton silver medallist PV Sindhu at Pragati Bhavan. 
2.  Collector digs trenches to keep land sharks away :  To keep land sharks at bay, Warangal rural collector Prashant Patil is getting 15,000 trenches dug and 50,000 teak trees planted in the reserve forest area in the district.
3.  Telangana rejects Centre's raw deal, to seek better price for chilli :  Unhappy over the raw deal it received from the Centre for its chilli farmers, the Telanganagovernment has decided not to avail the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) offered by the Centre unless the purchase price is hiked to Rs 7,000 and quantity increased to 3.5 lakh metric tonnes.
4.  Asra Begum still stuck in Saudi, CID to probe case :  Illegal agents engaged in human trafficking to the Gulf and sell women as sex slaves will have to brace for an onslaught from police.
5. Bandlaguda is education blackspot with lowest pass percentage :  Government schoolsin the Bandlaguda zone, which covers large parts of the Old City, showed the lowest pass percentage in the class X examinations which were declared on Wednesday.
6.  In Hyderabad, 'Vajra' fleet to reach your doorstep :  Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday launched a new fleet of 'Vajra' buses that will operate from residential colonies in the city to Warangal and Nizamabad. Depending on the demand, the State Road Transport Corporation buses will also be operated to other cities in the state.
7.  Hyderabad High Court shoots down TSRTC move to promote Bisleri :  Suspending for now the decision of the TSRTC officials to allow only Bisleri water bottles at all its bus stations in Telangana, the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday allowed all the stall owners in the bus stations to sell all branded water bottles that are approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

1.  Clean city tag for Ongole a morale booster’ :  It was a grand double for Prakasam district Collector and Ongole Municipal Corporation Special Officer V. Vinay Chand, who was the Municipal Commissioner in Tirupati earlier, as both cities performed well in the Swachh Surveshan contest.
2.  I never took a U-turn, says Nannaya varsity Registrar :  The cold war between Vice Chancellor of the Nannaya University M. Mutyala Naidu and Registrar A. Narasimha Rao came to the fore on Wednesday when the latter condemned the issues raised by senior teaching staff during a press conference on Tuesday, including taking a U-turn by him on the issue of tenders for automation of examination.
3.  Mani amends stand on ties with CPI(M) :  Faced with strong reactions of Congress leaders and a section in his own party, Kerala Congress (M) leader K.M. Mani appeared to have slightly amended his stand on his party’s ties with the CPI(M), stating that his party would take a principled stand on a case-to-case basis.
4.  VMC should take over Sibar Disneyland site :  CPI(M) State Secretariat member Ch. Babu Rao on Thursday demanded that the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) take over the Sibar Disneyland in Ajitsingh Nagar as the lease period was coming to an end.
5.  Vijayawada climbs up in rankings :  Vijayawada was ranked 19th in the Swachh Survekshan 2017 rankings declared on Thursday. Last year, the city was ranked 23rd out of the 73 cities that were surveyed.
6.  Naidu reaches U.S. behind schedule :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his team arrived at the San Francisco airport two and a half hours behind the schedule on Thursday.
7.  Charge-sheet against Jagan :  The Enforcement Directorate has filed yet another charge-sheet against YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the case related to Penna Cements (PCIL) on Thursday.
8.  AU inks pact with ENC :  Andhra University signed an MoU with Eastern Naval Command in the presence of AU Vice-Chancellor G. Nageswara Rao at AU Academic Senate Hall on Thursday.
9.  A.P. files counter before Krishna tribunal :  The Andhra Pradesh government has asked the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal (KWDT) to make project-wise allocation of 512 tmcft to Andhra Pradesh and 299 tmcft to Telangana and also evolve an operational protocol as conceived in Section 89(b) of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.
10.  Lokesh to arrive today on 2-day visit to district :  Minister for IT, Rural Development and Panchayatraj Nara Lokesh will tour the district for two days from Friday.
