Pakistan military court which sentenced Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav to death on charges of spying got huge shock from the International Court of Justice when it stayed its death sentence.
International Court of Justice (ICJ) based at Hague passed the order on the same day after India approached it against the death sentence given by Pakistan's Field General Court Martial last month.
India's accused Pakistan of violating the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and mentioned that Pakistan kidnapped Jadhav from Iran when he was in a business trip after retiring from the Indian Navy. Pakistan however accused Jadhav of fomenting violcene and claims to have arrested him from Balochistan on March 3,2016.
ICJ President Ronny Abraham has reportedly written a letter to Pakistan government, asking it to act in such a way which would enable the implementation of any order the ICJ may issue in the case.
