1.  Families borrow money to meet mounting bills :  After four women were hit by sudden complications and sepsis post deliveries, family members have been struggling to meet additional expenses. Left with no choice, they have been forced to spend huge sums of money to procure blood plasma, platelets, among other requirements from outside the hospital.
2.  Another woman rushed to Gandhi hospital :  Another woman was shifted from the Government Maternity Hospital Sultan Bazaar to the Gandhi Hospital in the wee hours of Tuesday , after she developed complications post a C-section.The 25-year-old woman, Deepa, delivered a girl around 1.30am and was rushed to the Gandhi Hospital around 3am.A team of doctors too accompanied the patient after she complained of chest pain, high fever and respiratory problems.
3.  Rash driving case sparks group clash :  Tension was rife at Rajendranagar when two groups clashed over a rash driving incident that occurred on Monday night.
4.  C-section nightmare: 23-year-old battles for life, was suffering from dengue too :  Twentythree-year-old Rajitha was also suffering from dengue and severe respiratory distress when doctors at the maternity hospital performed a cesarean-section on her.Rajitha has now been moved into the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) at Gandhi Hospital.

6.  Fee scare triggers Maha exodus of PG med aspirants :  The Telangana government's proposal to hike tuition fee for post-graduate (PG) medical courses has forced thousands of qualified candidates to apply to Karnataka-and Maharashtra-based institutions.
7.  Botched implosion: GHMC treads into debris before planning second blast :   A day after a botched attempt to detonate an unauthorized five-storeyed structure at Guttala Begumpet, an embarrassed GHMC tried to salvage the situation and deployed officials at the site, where the structure stood with a perilous tilt. Civic body workers climbed to the decrepit building, drilled into the columns and removed loose bricks and cleared debris.

9.  Pharma student held for mowing down policeman :  Langar Houz police on Tuesday arrested a 21-year-old B Pharmacy first-year student, Md Abdul Shoaib, for causing the death of Special Branch (SB) sub-inspector Kistaiah, 56, in a road accident.
10.  Politicos meet Gulf victims' kin, urge govt to convene special session to end their woes :  A meeting attended by various political parties on Tuesday demanded that a special session of the assembly be urgently convened to discuss the issues of Gulf workers.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  TS, A.P. discoms fail to make it to top 10 :  Three out of the four power distribution companies in the Telugu-speaking States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been rated as “moderate operational” in terms of performance by the Ministry of Power as part of the fifth annual integrated rating of the State distribution utilities.
2.  No sand extraction after dusk: Minister :  Industries Minister N. Amarnatha Reddy said on Tuesday criminal action would be initiated against those who undertook extraction of sand anywhere after dusk.
3.  Probe sought into ‘diversion of funds’ :  YSR Congress Srikakulam wing demanded a high-level inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of funds in the Panchayat department. Officials had diverted lakhs of rupees to buy LED bulbs instead of spending the funds to improve water facilities, YSRC leader Rokkam Suryaprakash alleged.
4.  “Do not create ruckus over choice of TTD EO” :  The former TTD Board Member and BJP State official spokesperson G. Bhanuprakash Reddy on Tuesday downplayed the objections raised by a select few against the appointment of Anil Kumar Singhal as Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

6.  Minister’s surprise checks at petrol bunks, FP shops :  Civil Supplies Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao made surprise visits to some petrol bunks and fair price (FP) shops in the city on Tuesday.
7.  Cisco to work with A.P. :  American multinational technology conglomerate Cisco has expressed willingness to work with the Andhra Pradesh government to make ‘small business easy’.
8.  ACA launches intensive coaching :  The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), which has been focussing on infrastructure building and optimum use of funds, has launched intensive coaching for around 70 players (boys) by roping in coaches from different parts of the country to improve the batting, bowling and fielding skills of the players. 
9.  BJP, TDP have no concern for workers: Raghuveera :  Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Raghuveera Reddy on Tuesday accused the BJP-led government at the Centre and the one headed by the TDP in the State of pursuing anti-worker policies.
