1.  Pakistan's plea for rehearing of Kulbhushan Jadhav case may cut no ice with ICJ :  While Pakistan is said to have sought a rehearing by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) of the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, it is unlikely that this will in any way lead to an annulment, or even dilution, of the interim relief already granted to India.
2.  Jaitley slaps fresh Rs 10cr defamation suit on Kejri :  Union minister Arun Jaitleyfiled on Monday a second second civil defamation suit of Rs 10 crore against CM Arvind Kejriwal over objectionable language used by his lawyer Ram Jethmalani last week.

4.  ATS to probe if Indian held in Pak joined LeT in 2006 :  The Maharashtra police anti-terrorism squad (ATS) has initiated a probe to ascertain if Sheikh Nabi Ahmed, a 33-year-old Indian national detained by Pakistan, is the same suspect who had allegedly joinedLashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in 2006.
5.  PM Modi condemns pop concert blast in UK's Manchester :  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday condemned the blast in Manchester in the UK which killed at least 19 people and injured around 50.
6.  Kashmiris brave all odds to top exams, says Mehrishi :   "We should take pride in the fact that these Kashmiris, with no access to coaching and coming from an area where there is a lot more uncertainty than rest of India, did so well in these exams," Mehrishi said adding that the threats to them were essentially a bid to challenge anything identified with the Indian establishment.
7.  Army moves in as RBI begins note verification :  Sources said over 500 soldiers will this week provide security and vigilance at RBI and other offices at 17 locations with currency verification and processing system (CVPS) machines. "The Army has been requisitioned under the mandate of aid to civil authorities, to basically cater for the effect of demonetisation and the double-shifts being done for currency verification," said a source.

10.  Army rewards ‘human shield’ Major, declares intent :  Major Leetul Gogoi, in the eye of a storm after he controversially decided to truss up a civilian on his jeep's bonnet as a "human shield" to rescue over a dozen security and election personnel from a stone-pelting mob in Jammu & Kashmir in April, has been awarded by Army chief General Bipin Rawat. Gogoi is a deliberate statement of intent by the government and the Army about their hard-nosed policy in dealing with the worsening situation in the Kashmir Valley.

9.  Yemen raid kills seven al-Qaida terrorists: US military :  The United States military said a raid against an al-Qaia compound in Yemenon Tuesday morning (local time) killed seven terrorists, with two US officials saying the primary objective of the raid was to gather intelligence.
10.  Islamic State supporters celebrate Manchester attack online, no official claim :  Islamic Statesupporters celebrated on social media on Tuesday after a blast at a concert venue in the north of England killed at least 19 people, although the militant Islamist group has not formally claimed responsibility.
