Sources from Chennai have stated that Chennai model named Gaanam Nair who had gone missing on Friday has returned home. Meanwhile a police source on the condition of anonymity said "She was reportedly in depression. We are investigating".



It was stated that an online campaign by friends and family seeking information went viral on social media and was a Twitter trend yesterday morning and the 28 year old, who works at a salon as a marketing manager, describes herself on Facebook as a photographer and "model at times". She lives with relatives; her father is based in Delhi and her mother died a few years ago.

It was stated that Ms Nair left her house on Friday for work on her two-wheeler, but did not reach her office, where her cell phone had been switched off since then and in the last 24 hours, about 900 tweets have referred to her case.



On Facebook, Ms Nair used an account which identified her as Jikki Padhoo. In March, she posted a note about a lover that "A tear rolls down, from both our eyes, at the same time. My lips quivering, crying, I'm trying to prepare you, pulling myself up". An investigator said"We understand she had marriage related issues with her family and had some health issues as well" and another relative, who didn't want to be named, said, "I don't think she had any problem with the family."
