Terrorism is spreading its menace in various forms. India which experienced terrorism in various forms especially in Kashmir, is now bracing for a shock from bedroom jihadis. It is known that Indian army and security forces are fighting terrorists who are using bullets and brickbats against them.
Now it is comingout that they are facing threat from bedroom jihadis. Bedroom jihadis are the terrorists who manipulate social media by spreading rumours and influence youngsters, enjoying all the comforts from their homes.
Bedroom jihadis use computers from their homes,cafes and could be inside or ouside of Kashmir. Security forces are worried about Amarnath Yatra which starts from June 29. These bedroom jihadis spread rumours to trigger communal violence.
Senior cop says "It is a virtual battleground where a bloody war is fought, but with words. However, this has an impact on the young minds," He added "Anyone, while sitting on his bed or sofa, can plant this news in one of the thousand chat groups and the entire state can plunge into communal divide,"
Social groups are active not only in Kashmir but also from across the globe. Recently rumours of Kashimir pandit cop and also a fake picture of a pond around the shrine of Goddess Ragnya Devi, also known as Kheer Bhawani, being shared on WhatsApp groups ahead of the annual Kheer Bhawani mela increased tensions.
