The Next President of India will be elected on July 17th and the counting will be made on July 20th. Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi announced in an Official press statement. The nominations should be made on or before June 28th. The last date for withdrawal of nominations would be July 1st.

 


The elections will take place between 10 am and 5 pm on 17th of July. Current President Pranab Mukherjee's term comes to an end on July 24th. Chief Election Commissioner clearly said no Political party should issue any whip to its party members during the election period.

He also warned that if any incidents of bribe will be reported and it gets proved the election would be declared null and void. As per sources, the competition would be high between Draupadi Murmu and Gopal Krishna Gandhi.

 


Draupadi Murmu is currently the Governor of Jharkhand and she was also a former minister. If elected, she will also be honored with the pride of being first tribal to become the Indian president.
