The Adarsh Raitu scheme launched with an aim to provide monthly stipends to Congress sympathisers( nee the YSR followers ) the Kiran Govt wants to disband it now and enroll them a fresh
Agriculture minister Kanna Lakshminarayana has declared that the government would review the status of functioning of the 50,000 Adarsh Raithus in the state and cancel those who were not active. Congress Govt had appointed them as technology initiators in agriculture Chandrababu Naidu appointed Agri assistants to teach farmers of new methods who were summarily withdrawn by YSR govt and replaced with congress workers asAdarsh Raitus.
YSRCP sources say the move was aimed all the Adarsh Raitu s who had now shifted their loyalties over the YSRCP as most of them were fans of YSR. Particularly during the Panchayat polls they would be a major threat to the congress party .Adarsh Raitu scheme was launched by YSR to counter the scheme of TDP with the same name to enroll farmers as Adarsh Raito’s with a monthly stipend to help other farmers to introduce new agri tech schemes and initiatives .
Though a GO issued for the Khariff season the Agri department has not revived any one and has plans to get rid of a lot many before Panchayat polls as the GO is kept in abeyance right now. .
