The Telangana Transco has made all arrangements and it is all set ready to generate additional power from today to provide uninterrupted 24hr power supply to around 1 Crore agricultural farm lands. Instructions have been issued to this effect based on the report generated by the Transco CMD D.Prabhakar Rao .He assures to produce the required power to supply without any interruption.
Telangana Transco made a rough estimate that 11,500 MW of power would be needed when lift irrigation projects of Kaleshwaram, Palamuru and Sitarama projects take their run .
Genco which had set a target of producing of about 27,000 MW of power by 2020 has contributed a major portion of this for the lift irrigation projects and agriculture pump sets.
