1.  Defence ministry nod to lay sewer line abutting Ramannakunta Lake :  On Tuesday, Ministry of Defence (MoD) gave permission for laying sewer line works to prevent sewer water from nearby residential colonies entering the lake. This was confirmed by the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) chief executive officer, SVR Chandra Sekhar.
2.  Orphanage secretary held for sexually abusing 15-year-old :  Malkajgiri police arrested the secretary of an orphanage in the city for subjecting a 15-year-old orphan to sexual exploitation for the past one month.
3.  Taxed Indians return from Saudi in droves :  The nearly 41 lakh Indian population in Saudi Arabia is bracing for the `dependent fee' that comes into force in the kingdom fromJuly 1. With this tax -100 Riyals per month for each dependent -likely to burn a hole in their pockets, most families are now forced to send their dependents back home. 
4.  Mega projects: GHMC mulls raising Rs 1,000cr from municipal bonds :   In a bid to raise funds for various schemes and projects, the cash-strapped Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to float a municipal bonds issue soon. The civic body has recently sent a proposal to the state government seeking approval to go ahead with the issue of municipal bonds worth Rs1,000 crore.
5.  Raheja issue: HC quashes criminal case against three top IAS officers :  Noting that the trial court has no power to review its own judgment, Justice B Siva Sankara Rao of the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday quashed the criminal cases filed by the Telangana ACB in the Raheja Mindspace case against three IAS officers and one IPS officer as also against the management of the Raheja Mindspace project.
6.  Ex-chief secretary slams TDP after being sacked from Brahmin corporation :  The ruling Telugu Desam Partyin Andhra Pradesh found itself in a tight spot on Tuesday with former chief secretary (CS) and chairman of AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation, IYR Krishna Rao, launching a scathing attack on chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu soon after he was removed from his post.
7.  KCR to farmers: Don't commit suicide, tell me your problems :  Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday called on farmers in the state not to take their lives when faced with challenges. "If you have problems, please tell me. But don't commit suicide. It is cowards who resort to such extreme step."
8.  Yadavas, Kurmas to reap riches from sheep: KCR :  The members of the Yadava and Kurma communitiescan expect to be the wealthiest among their peer groups in the country in three years. The two communities will generate 25,000 crore revenue through sale and export of sheep and its meat, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao declared on Tuesday.
9.  Lightening strike damages Shiva temple :  The gopuram of the historic Sri Kaleshwara Mukteeshwara temple at Kaleshwaram in Jayashankar-Bhupalapally district was partially damaged after it was hit by lightning on Tuesdaynight.
10.  Court questions lax attitude towards welfare of animals :  Observing that the AP authorities are implementing provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals Act as an eyewash measure and not than with any commitment towards the cause, the Hyderabad HC on Tuesday sought to know from the state animal husbandry authorities as to how they will implement the provisions of the Act.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Naidu launches free hearse service :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched online “Mahaprasthanam,” a free hearse service for shifting the mortal remains of those who die in government hospitals to their houses, at the Secretariat here on Tuesday.
2.  Abolish Janmabhoomi panels :  Demanding that the State government abolish the ‘Janmabhoomi Committees’ with immediate effect, East Godavari district unit secretary of the Communist Party of India on Tuesday alleged that the committees were reigning at the grass-roots level and deterring many genuine beneficiaries from accessing the government’s various welfare schemes.
3.  Driver dies; SI, three cops injured :  A car driver, Dorababu, died on the spot and Srikalahasti sub-inspector Praveen Kumar and three constables were severely injured when the car in which they were travelling overturned near Bhakrapet in Siddhavatam mandal of Kadapa district on Tuesday.
4.  Retain Brahmin Corpn. chairman :  Brahmana Maha Sabha president Rallapalli Ramasubba Rao has appealed to the government to continue the services of Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation Chairman I.Y.R. Krishna Rao in recognition of his outstanding services to poor Brahmins.
5.  People fed up with TDP’s misrule :  Addressing the meeting chaired by former Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, he said all sections of people were fed up with the three-year “misrule of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu” and were waiting for an opportunity to teach a fitting lesson to the TDP.
6.  CM wants to control cable network :  Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar on Tuesday alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was trying to control cable network in the State through AP State Fibernet Limited (APSFL).
7.  Finances under stress: Yanamala :  The State’s finances are under “stress” during the first quarter of the financial year itself as the government has to clear bills of Rs. 10,000 crore pertaining to the fourth quarter of last fiscal. The government has cleared Rs. 49,000 crore, including pending bills, this quarter.
8.  Kovind not a consensus candidate: Pinarayi :  Expressing displeasure over BJP’s choice for presidential candidate, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said “Ram Nath Kovind is not a consensus candidate. The BJP has not disclosed his name during consultation with the other parties and so we do not agree to it. Now it is up to our party higher-ups and other Opposition parties to decide on the issue.”
9.  Banish ragging, create friendliness, students told :  Revenue, police and education department officials have asked students to stay away from ragging and create a friendly atmosphere in educational institutions.
10.  Will help Muslims in all ways, says Naidu :  The Chief Minister said he strongly supported 4 % reservation to Muslims and promised all help to the minority to fight in the apex court for required reservation.
