1.Ram Nath Kovind wrong choice for President post, says Asaduddin Owaisi.: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday criticised the NDA for choosing Ram Nath Kovind as its Presidential candidate.Addressing the Youm-ul-Quran gathering at the Macca Masjid after Jumma-tul-Vida prayers, Mr Owaisi reminded that in 2010, Mr Kovind had said that Islam and Christians are alien to the nation.
2.Ram Nath Kovind is anti-minority, says Telangana Congress.Telangana PCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has done injustice to the minorities by supporting the NDA’s Presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind who opposed reservations for minorities.
3.HMDA to pay Rs 150 crore tax to Telangana government.The revenue department is set to reap benefits from HMDA’s layout regularisation scheme. The urban body is set to pay NALA (Non Agricultural Land Assessment) tax to the tune of Rs 150 crore once LRS formalities are finished by July-August. The NALA tax is being collected by the urban body as part of regularisation of layouts.
4. Cops bust rice pulling racket, 6 men arrested.The Rachakonda police busted a rice pulling racket and arrested six men, including a retired home guard, who were cheating businessmen by giving them a rice pulling bowl saying that with it they can multiply their assets. The arrested suspects are K. Maisaiah, K. Kondaiah, K. Spoorthy Reddy, J. Venkata Ramana, G. Ramesh and M. Swamy. One Narayan Reddy is absconding. 
5.Traffic curbs for Id-ul-Fitr prayers in Hyderabad.Police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy has imposed restrictions on movement of traffic at the Mir Alam Tank Idgah and the Secunderabad Idgah for Id-ul-Fitr prayers on the day of the festival, June 26 or 27.
6.18 per cent GST not for water bills, says P V Narasimha Rao. Insurance premiums will cost more with the rollout of GST from July 1. However, tax experts have suggested ways to slip out of the tax net.Tax expert P. Narasimha Rao says, “The 18 per cent GST is not applicable on municipal tax, property tax, water bill etc. But funds spent on repairs attract 18 per cent tax.
7.ISIS sympathiser Omer posts subversive ‘likes’ on FB, arrested in Hyd. ISIS sympathiser Konakalla Subramanyam alias Omer, who was arrested on Friday, allegedly kept posting ‘likes’ not only on ISIS propaganda pages but also those that had become inactive on Facebook. He was added to two ISIS groups which contained members from foreign countries on the internet messaging service Telegram by a Mumbai ISIS sympathiser, police sources said.

With this, there is an increasing gap between ministers and secretaries.Cabinet ministers said their importance was getting diminished everyday as their role was getting limited to cabinet meetings and involvement not seen in governance.
2.'Saaraa Chandrabar Naidu' is an apt name for CM Chandrababu Naidu: Roja.Slamming the changes in bar policy, YSRC MLA R.K. Roja on Saturday said ‘Saaraa Chandrabar Naidu’ is an apt name for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.She said there is speculation about her joining the TD, for which she answered that YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy had given her MLA seat right after she joined the party, while Mr Naidu got her suspended from the Assembly for one year. She questioned the media for publishing such speculations without contacting her for confirmation.
3.Rs 100 crore meters scam in Southern Discom.An alleged Rs 100-crore scam related to the purchase of electric meters in eight districts under the southern discom has drawn the attention of its internal vigilance wing.The meters lying idle in the southern discom’s Vidyut Soudha campus in Vijayawada for long are said to be worth Rs 15 crore. Meters worth another Rs 90 crore was said to be lying in the open air in the other district.
4.TD, YSRC war intensifies on social media.The war between the TD and YSRC on social media and digital platforms has been intensified, with rumours about YSRC MLA Roja that she would join the Jana Sena.Citing her absence at the Visakhapatnam Maha Dharna, stories are circulating on social media that she has approached Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s brother Mr Nagababu and asked his help to join the Jana Sena, due to her differences with YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy.
5.To avoid GST payment, AP tweaks bar licence policy. To avoid paying Goods and Service Tax to the Central government on bar licence fee, the AP government has introduced registration fee system in the new bar policy, which comes into force from July 1. The bar licence period has been increased from one year to 5 years, subject to payment of non-refundable registration charge and licence fee with an enhancement at 10% annually.
6. STF to tackle ganja smuggling in AP. To tackle ganja smuggling effectively, the state government is going to set up a special task force similar to the one dealing with red sanders in the state.The STF will find out the area where ganja is being cultivated by availing of high-end technology, destroy it, nab the culprits, book cases, do proper investigation and pursue the cases in the courts properly to ensure conviction.
7.Visakhapatnam: Indian Coast Guard rescues 15 fishermen at sea.The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) rescued 15 fishermen on MFB Mohan Raj stranded in high seas due to machinery breakdown. The men on the 20-metre-long fishing boat registered in Tamil Nadu had ventured out for fishing on June 16 from Nagapatnam. There were 15 crew on board.
8.No fire safety at Kurnool Hospital.Kurnool Government General Hospital seems to be the least safe place for patients. The recent twelve-hour power outage brought to light the hospital’s unpreparedness for untoward accidents such as fires and collapse of the building. After patients, the most vulnerable people at the hospital are its nurses. The abuse of nurses during the night time is a common occurrence.
