Andhra Pradesh
1.  GST: confusion marks enforcement :  Though hailed by many the rolling out of the biggest-ever tax reforms in the country by switching to Goods and Services Tax (GST), confusion on its enforcement and problems it will pose to small entrepreneurs will continue to occupy centre-stage for sometime.
2.  ‘Focus on creating more facilities in rural areas’ :  The State government has put focus on developing infrastructure and facilities in rural pockets, said Home Minister N. Chinarajappa while inaugurating development works worth Rs. 41.46 lakh at Koppavaram village of Samalkot on Sunday.
3.  Ryots celebrate arrival of Godavari water :  Farmers on Sunday celebrated arrival of Godavari water in Bandar canal at Sitarampuram village, intensifying land preparation work for paddy cultivation.
4.  SC order: liquor licensees face problems in Nellore :  Majority of liquor shops located near the main shopping areas and other locations in Nellore city could not reopen in the past two days as their present locations were found to be in violation of the guideline that there should be 500 metres distance from the State and the National Highways.
5.  TTD felicitates cops for rescuing stolen child :  The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has felicitated the police personnel involved in tracing the child, Chenna Kesava, who was stolen at Tirumala hills, after a fortnight-long rigorous search operation.
6.  Capital: CM for legal action against obstructionists :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday instructed the officials of the AP-Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) to firmly deal with those filing anonymous petitions with the World Bank (WB) through legal means and come up with an action plan by the next round of deliberations on works undertaken by the CRDA.
7.  YSR’s former aide joins TDP :  S.M.D. Nouman, former chairman of Nandyal municipality and a close confidante of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the presence of its national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the latter’s residence in Undavalli here on Sunday.
8.  Discrimination against Dalits widespread: Harsha Kumar :  Former MP G.V. Harsha Kumar on Sunday said exploitation of dalits was widespread and the extent of discrimination was evident from social boycott of 800 dalit families at Garagaparru in Palekoderu mandal in West Godavari district.
9.  YSRC vows to fight for SCS, railway zone :  The YSRC district plenary here on Sunday resolved to fight till Special Category Status is accorded to Andhra Pradesh and the railway zone with Visakhapatnam as headquarters is sanctioned.
10.  TDP has let down people: YSRC :  The YSR Congress on Sunday accused the TDP of letting down people on its poll promises and challenged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s son and IT Minister N. Lokesh to go in for a CBI inquiry into the Opposition charges if he had faith in his own government.
