New Delhi sources have stated that Congress said that nothing concrete" has come out of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's previous foreign visits and added that only time will tell whether India will benefit anything out of his current visit to Israel. Ajay Maken said this is the 65th visit of the Prime Minister to a foreign country in last more than three years and what is seen in his 64 official visits also is that it caters only to the domestic Indian audience.
Ajay Maken added that Modi's speech is telecasted, publicized in India but nothing concrete comes out of the visit of the prime minister. He said only time will tell how India will benefit out of this visit.
The Congress spokesman added that so far no investments have happened, the
relations with neighboring states have worsened, incursions are happening. He
had questioned about what kind of foreign policy is this with no employment
generation, it can't be a foreign policy of visits, and we should get concrete
benefits out of these visits. It seems just to while away the time such trips
are planned by him.
