Venkaiah Naidu carried an allegation all through his life of supporting TDP and its party head at the expense of BJP in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Venkaiah Naidu belonging to the same caste as NTR and Chandrababu Naidu and his closeness and togetherness with Chandrababu is the root for this allegation.YSR Congress always propagated this root cause and they even called Venkaiah and Chandrababu as Together Twins.
They have called Venkaiah names on several occasions and made many odd allegations with Chandrababu. But then, when BJP proposed the candidate Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress Party readily vowed to back BJP in the coming latest Vice-Presidential elections.
As per an official statement, BJP president Amit Shah personally rang up Jagan Reddy on Monday to seek his support for Venkiah Naidu and the YSRCP chief was happy and readily conveyed his party's complete support to make Naidu win, who's currently the union minister for urban development.
