For parents and wards in Andhra Pradesh, they are reportedly feeling that to be born as a student in AP is nothing but a curse for the last couple of years. This may not be an exaggerated comment looking at the state of affairs in our state and clear lack of governance. With the percentile fiasco, IIT students from AP are already in doldrums.
Coming to engineering admissions, with fee reimbursement and other issues pending in court including the regulation of fees and the endless stays and court litigations, one is not sure whether counseling for engineering admissions in AP, which is already delayed will actually happen or not.
This delay has come as a boon for colleges in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu such that already hundreds of students have left for these states and joined the colleges which have started their first semester courses. In AP, still no one is sure when counselling may start and end. Is the government not aware of these problems and why didn’t it ensure that things are in place knowing the fact that things are not a smooth ride.
