Social Welfare Minister Pithani Sathyanarayana says that the YSRCP working president YS Vuijayamma has been spreading all lies and cock and bull about the free reimbursement scheme .
Coming out with official statistics on the controversy of fee reimbursements raised by her few hours ahead of the cabinet meet today the minister said the policy was being implemented up to saturation levels as designed by YSR . The Minister said that in all 3,24,755 students were being enrolled for 2013-14 in 685 engineering colleges and an uniform fee reimbursements policy was granted for all students Engineering, MBA and MCA courses .
He said SC/ST students get full reimbursements which ever course or college. But BC and EBC students get full benefit only up to 10,000 EAMCET ranks while others get Rs.35, 000 regardless of the college fees.
Those in convener quota of medicine, dentistry and degree post graduate course also get full reimbursements , he said adding that Vijayamma should cross check facts before publicly decrying the policy heralded by her husband YSR . But the minister was not disclosing was that the free scheme was diluted as per .central norms and budget slashed by over 30 percent .
