Hyderabad sources have stated that currently, online shopping has made things easy with a button click away. However, Sumana Paramata, who stays in Madhapur was shocked after she found a dead rat in a cereal packet which was ordered from popular online store Big Basket. Sumana posted a video which has gone viral.
According to sources, she ordered dhal on Sunday and the packet arrived the next day. However, she opened the packet and was baffled after finding a rat in a decomposed state. She said, "She found a creature in the packet and got suspicious. Hence she recorded it while opening the packet and also took pictures."
Moreover, she said that previously she got substandard vegetables but the one which occurred of late is a serious one. She has complained at Madhapur police station and SI Chandra Shekar said Health department of the GHMC has been informed about the issue. Meanwhile, the online store has responded to Sudharani’s Tweet by posting, “We will escalate this to concern team and necessary action will be taken regarding this.”
