Did any one listened to the unimpressive and saltless appeal of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy even as he made a last ditch effort to avert Telangana formation and retention of United Andhra yesterday .
“For God’s sake, don’t divide Andhra Pradesh” the Chief Minister appealed to congress trouble shoorters as a final effort indicating thatthe Congress party in AP would win comfortable seats in 2014 even without Telangana . But there were no takers .
CM made an fervent appeal during his 30 minutes interaction with Congress trouble shooters Azad and Digvijay Singh that the Congress partym had a high vote share of 44 per cent in Coastal Andhra, 28 per cent in Rayalaseema and 27 per cent in Telangana.
He assured the congress high command that Congress could win a minimum of 20 Lok Sabha seats and 150 Assembly segments without conceding the Telangana demand.Kiran said the YSR Congress had no take in the Telangana region and likewise the TRS had no base at all in the Seemandhra region indirectly benefiting the congress by splitting the votes .
However when high comamnd men asked him whether Kiran guaranteed party victories like YSR Kiran said that depended on cooperation of all sections in Congress . ' There are 10 seniors and five factions working against me .Can you control them he asked and presented a sealed cover with names and reports to Diggy Raja . 'We are talking about state now Kiran and not Congress party ' Digvijay had to remind him
