Beware of the masked men and ladies who are gunning for your purse, modesty and jewelry. The masked phantoms attack isolated girls, women, aged persons and escaped identification through CCTVS .
State police say there has been sudden jump in activities by ‘masked thieves’ in view of the CCTV’s set up in bus stands, railway stations and ATMs. Lot of youth including women who got used to lavish life of liquor and high living were operating as masked teams of robbers in crowded areas . They attack aged persons while drawing from ATM's or in markets .
A recent police note said that 7 of every ten crimes in Hyderabad city was e by masked men and women. Masked girls and ladies pried on fellow students and working women and robbed them of mobiles, jewellery and their purses .
Last week alone police arrested 23 masked ladies and motorbike robbers in Hyderabad, 31 in Vijayawada and 18 in Visakhapatnam and seized good worth Rs.7 lakhs .Masked women are also seen as drug peddlers, sex workers, and also bootleggers in rural areas .They had looted goods worth over Rs.2 crore in one month.
Now the masked operators are spreading to districts and also villages to attack hapless and isolated women and old men. In a latest incident of a village worker was molested after her hair crudely cut before her clothes were set on fire at Nagulapadu village of Addanki village of Nellore district
by drunk and masked men .
