Ahmedabad sources have stated that in his first visit to his hometown Vadnagar in Gujarat after becoming Prime Minister, Narendra Modi bowed to his school, where he studied, by kneeling down on the ground. Meanwhile on a two day tour to Gujarat, he visited his hometown where he inaugurated a medical college and multi-specialty hospital building constructed with an amount of Rs. 400 crore.



Furthermore when addressing a public meeting, Modi said that he felt very special to have received a warm welcome from the people. Accordingly Modi, who is visiting his hometown for the first time after becoming Prime Minister in 2014. According to sources the city has been decorated with flags and buntings for the visit of the Prime Minister. Hundreds of people gathered along the route to welcome the Prime Minister as he arrived in a black Range Rover SUV and waved to the crowd.

Further this hospital is set to cater to lakh of patients in North Gujarat and south Rajasthan, which borders the region. Modi also visited his school where he knelt and touched his forehead to the ground. Moore he also offered prayers at the Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple here. Modi used to vend tea as a young boy at the railway station here.
