Looking at the way how Seemandhra TDP leaders are reacting, political analysts are reportedly wondering as to how this time these leaders are so silent whereas in December 2009 they tried their best to stall formation of Telangana state. But now the total approach especially that of TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu is rather shocking.
Later this two-eyed policy cost Naidu dear in both the regions and at one time there was worry among the cadre whether the party will weather the storm and survive till 2014. But Naidu resorted to a master stroke by supporting Telangana during all party meet and since then the party has been in a safe zone.
Somireddy Chandrasekhar Reddy, a key leader of TDP in Nellore district reportedly said that they will not resign to oppose Telangana since Naidu has taken a pro Telangana decision after hundreds of students committed suicide in the region but stressed that there has to be clarity regarding capital and water sharing. Was TDP chief prepared for two states and is he set to become a statesman or will the people accuse him of being a selfish man, let’s see!
